CHARACTER INFORMATION➤
CHARACTER NAME: Schuldig, pronounced Shu-ru-dee-hee by the Japanese characters - i.e. not "dig" at the end, just a soft -dɪχ.
➤
SERIES: Weiss Kreuz.
➤
CHARACTER AGE: 26, since he's from Gluhen which is 4 years after the series.
➤
REFERENCE: Just to avoid any confusion, this Background/History will be a modified version of my
other character application from the same series, which I'm not bringing to Proxima Beta because hopefully someone else is.
His
Background/History/Reference + links is located here because old canon is old and there is no good wiki out there for it.
➤
CANON POINT: End of Glühen minus that godawful redesign. Call it going back into his closet, pulling out the old wardrobe, and tossing the L'Oreal into the trash. Whether he lived or died through that explosion in canon (hey, he's had worse), he makes it to Proxima. Not like Weiss noticed a difference in canon anyway.
➤
SEXUALITY: Schuldig is sexual, we know that from canon, but he doesn't have the kind of moral hangups that would dissuade him from changing his mind on a whim. He doesn't owe an allegiance to a family, or a business, or a country that could hold sway over his life and his decisions, whether he slept with everyone or no one, of any gender, young or old, alien or human. So yes, he is a cis male attracted to women enough to flirt with them, but he's also a sociopath, so things like power and worldview will make or break a relationship with him before gender and physical sex does.
( Personality )➤
POWERS:- Empathy+Telepathy - Schuldig is able to read not just thoughts, but feelings too. Implanting thoughts and feelings is much harder, but he has done it in canon with weak-willed minor characters from a great distance - through a video conference of all things. What he is best at is catching the superficial thoughts that rush through a person's mind as a knee-jerk reaction to something shocking or crazy they encounter. Deeper thoughts and complex opinions are tougher to unravel, especially if the person is just walking by and he doesn't have enough time to probe. Additionally, with enough teamwork or willingness, he can create a kind of psychic link between several people so they can all talk to each other without speaking - and without blindly sharing all of their thoughts too.
- Agility - Schuldig is quite fast and dextrous on his own, but in the context of combat he also looks supernaturally fast to his opponents - this is actually due to utilizing his telepathy to anticipate his opponents movements and get out of the way before they can strike him or his allies.
- Strength - This is much more in the realm of human possibility, but it's worth noting - Schuldig has enough upper body strength to snap a man's neck.
➤
SUITABILITY: Schuldig is an adult in every sense, so at the very least he's not
unsuitable. However, I think with how intimate sexuality is - even with one-night stands - on a psychological level, it's a very good setting to encourage some character development over months instead of years for a character so firmly set on the side of an antagonist in his canon.

FIRST PERSON EXAMPLE:Quite the voyeurs our jailers must be... All the glamor of a show and none of the staff to bring you coffee. Bums me out, you know? Here I was hoping to be a fabulous movie star one day.
Well, if that's the case... I wonder... Hmmm... What would happen if I just turned off one of those cameras? 'S not like the Director's here to bark orders for being a Prima Donna. Or maybe I'll just play the runaway fiancé and go off to the Eastern Tropics for awhile, paparazzi following all the way.
Will anyone be waiting for the runaway there? Who knows. Only one person would be and he's not dumb enough to get trapped in this place - not that I expect him to rescue the princess, either.
So, how about it, paparazzi? Wanna race? If you beat me there you can interview the Rising Star.

THIRD PERSON EXAMPLE:Schuldig didn't like scientists as a rule - too much experience and too little rewards. They operated in ways that were too rigid for someone who knew the malleable, inconsistent nature of the mind very well. More than an individual on the island, he didn't like the amount of power they had over him at this very moment in time - something had changed. Something had quieted the voices that were always in the forefront of his mind as he walked the streets; someone had taken his sweet honey away. This was different than when Crawford suggested they go away to a remote location in the Alps where the only things with thoughts for 100 miles were Schwarz and animals. Schuldig could walk past people here and it was like his transmitter was broken - video killed the radio star, baby.
It frustrated him, but it was also a good thing to be occupied by. It was a game to play and the scientists or whoever else were controlling this place were, as far as he was concerned, no different than the old farts at Eszett, the gang from Rosenkrüs, or the Takatoris - their egos would be their downfall. Ah, Herr Freud would be so proud.
He'd been bluffing of course about trying to evade anyone. All he needed was a small mob of people blissfully unaware that Mastermind was around, so that he could sup in peace and maybe even find a golden nugget of intel on his jailers. That led him to the village on the coast of Eastern Tropics where he'd heard - listened, what's the difference - people say there was a hot spring. The Japanese loved their hot springs, he had learned of late, and their tourists loved them too; it wouldn't be a bad place to start at all even if this was a fishbowl worlds away from Nihon, or even Deutschland. And since he had absolutely no intention of paying the bill, he started looking for someone... unattached. Someone in need of another willing body, if only for a little while. If they had no pretention of romance, so much the better.
"Komm ganz nah heran... Tanz auf dem Vulkan..." He whispered, alternating with humming the verses he couldn't remember.*
"Komm ganz nah heran... Tanz auf dem Vulkan..." Oh and that reminded him; the #1 trait he'd have to look for: obviously his powers had to work on them. They wouldn't be a very fun toy if he couldn't even play with them.
